A building permit was issued for a new residence hall to the north of the canyon on the Reed College campus

Every week, the Bureau of Development Services publishes lists of Early Assistance applications, Land Use Reviews and Building Permits processed in the previous week. We publish the highlights. This post covers March 26th to April 1st, 2018. 

Early Assistance has been requested by Fieldwork Design & Architecture for a project at 121 N Beech St:

Future code: Proposal is for a new 5-story building with retail at ground level and 4 stories of office above. Drywell stormwater system.

Future code: New 3-story office building with renovation and retrofit of existing one story structure. On site parking with associated site landscaping and utilities.

A Pre-Application Conference has been scheduled by Dowl to discuss work on the Yale Union building at 800 SE 10th Ave:

Current code: This proposal aims to accomplish a seismic upgrade of the primary, historic Yale Union building (a URM) by reconstruction and expansion of the eastern half of the owned property.

A Pre-Application Conference has been scheduled by Works Progress Architecture to discuss a project at 9648 NE Couch St:

Current code: Project includes construction of one new residential mixed-use building including 40 rental units of varying sizes and ground floor retail along 97th Ave. Building is to be four stories of wood frame construction over one story mass timber. two stairs access each floor with one extending to the roof via roof hatch. Total project is approx. 32,500 SF with 16 on-grade parking spaces. The intention is to comply with Inclusionary Zoning requirements.

A project at 1715 NW 17th Ave has been submitted for building permit review by LRS Architects:

Core and shell upgrades to the existing building including seismic, roof replacement, new skylights, interior stairs, new elevator and addition of a second level instide the existing building footprint.

A project at SE 124th & Ash has been submitted for building permit review by Ankrom Moisan Architects:

Construct new 4 story wood frame (175 unit) apartment building with courtyard bike parking; new car parking

A project with two buildings at 3539 N Gantenbein Ave has been submitted for building permit review:

A project at NE 67th & Halsey has been submitted for building permit review:

New 4 story storage facility, parking, landscaping, and site improvements.

A building permit was issued to Hacker architects for the PSU Neuberger Hall Renovation:

PSU – Renovation of an existing 220,000 sf building. minimal seismic, MEP systems, interior renovation, new exterior facades. Addition of lightwell at West half of building. New elevators to mezzanines.

A building permit was issued to ZGF Architects for the Reed College Residence Hall:

new 4 story college dorm

A building permit was issued to Studio 3 Architecture for a project at 6006 SE 53rd Ave (previously 5320 SE Woodstock Blvd):

New 3-story, 19 unit apartment building with associated site work. Multistory dwelling units at floors 2 and 3.

A building permit was issued for a project at 8085 SE 82nd Ave:

Construct new 3 story storage facility with 711 storage units, interior trash enclosure on main floor, includes associated site work
