A building permit is under review for The Canyons, a 70-unit senior housing concept that intends to builds partnerships with local businesses, makes it easier for residents to age in place.

Every week, the Bureau of Development Services publishes lists of Early Assistance applications, Land Use Reviews and Building Permits processed in the previous week. We publish the highlights. This post covers April 2nd to April 8th, 2018. 

Early Assistance has been requested for a project at 431 NE Church St:

Future code: Construction of a new 19-unit apartment building. Using Community Design Standards

A project at 815 W Burnside St has been submitted for Type III Design Review by Ankrom Moisan Architects:

Construction of 7-story, mixed use (144 unit) apartment building and commercial development. Two modifications requested. One is for the ground floor window standard and the other for the ground floor active use standard.

The Canyons at 19 NE Ivy St has been submitted for building permit review by PATH Architecture:

New 6 story, 70 unit multifamily apartment building with ground floor to include retail and work spaces; basement to include amenities and parking; with associated sitework

A project at 3249 SE Division St has been submitted for building permit review:

New multi-family 4-story building with 54 units and ground floor retail and parking. Includes site improvements and new retaining wall along n edge of property

A building permit was issued to GBD Architects for the PCC Child Development Center at 11900 SW 49th Ave:

New 2-story building for daycare: classroom and office space, mixed occupancy B and E; new pedestrian walkway connection to 2 existing buildings; title 24.85 triggered at (E): TI in ground floor of existing buildings, change of occupancy from B to E, replace exterior windows add new walls to reconfigure classrooms; and all associated site work

A building permit was issued to Baysinger Partners for a project at 4130 SE Division St:

New 4 story, 19 unit apartment building with onsite parking, includes associated sitework

A building permit was issued to SERA Architects for the Jantzen Apartments at 2050 NE Hoyt St:

New 6 story above grade with full basement. 212 apartments, 114 parking stalls, with retail, common space on ground floor

A building permit was issued to Encore Architects for a project at 1313 E Burnside St:

New, six-story plus basement, 211 unit apartment building and 5,000SF of commercial area with parking above and below grade for 127 vehicle spots (2 DEMO PERMITS on plans 17-240897-CO & 17-240898-CO)

 

Metro Reports: Charlotte Rutherford Place, Stark I & II, 3249 SE Division, and more

Charlotte Rutherford Place is being developed in partnership between Home First Development and Central City Concern. It will include 51 units of affordable housing, split between 34 one-bedroom and 17 two-bedroom units.

Design Advice has been requested by Mackenzie for a project at 3075 NE Sandy Blvd:

New Lexus dealership. 3-story building with one level of below-grade structure. The lot is 1.6 acres and the proposed building area will be approximately 75,000 sf.

Early Assistance has been requested by Ankrom Moisan Architects for a project at 5716 SE 92nd Ave:

Phase 1 – partial demo of single story warehouse, modifications to existing commercial buildings, redesigned surface parking area, new town square, new farmers market hall, new private street off SE 92nd Ave. Stormwater bioswales and ground infiltration.

A Pre-Application Conference has been scheduled to discuss a project at 1715 NW 17th Ave:

Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment and Zoning Map Amendment to facilitate use as creative office rather than current light industrial use.

A project at 821 SE 14th Ave has been submitted for a Type II Adjustment Review by Lever Architecture:

Renovation of an existing 3 story 12,462 sf office building as well as 1 story 2,000sf addition on the south side of the building. Existing parking lot on the north side will be reworked. West property removal of exisiting house and addition of 8 space parking lot. Adjustment 33.130.242 Transit Street Main Entrance to allow the main entrance to be 81 ft from Transit Street instead of 25 ft.

A project at 1477 NE Alberta St has been submitted for a Type II Adjustment Review by Fosler Portland Architecture:

New 4-story mixed-use building on corner lot. Adjustment requested to building height requirement (33.110.215).

A project at 15935 SE Division St has been submitted for a Type II Design Review:

3-story, 150,683 sf self-storage facility with requisite public improvements.

An addition to St John Fisher Parish at 7101 SW 46th Ave has been submitted for building permit review by Soderstrom Architects:

Addition to existing building to add new parish hall; renovation of existing rectory (R3 occupancy); new site improvements include parking, landscape and storm water facility

A revised permit application has been submitted by Urban Development Group for a project at 2548 SE Ankeny St:

New 5-story, 96 unit apartment building; first floor includes loading/trash room, lobby, bike storage, electrical equipment room, and studios. Studios on remaining floors. W/17-214647-MT

A project at 6805 N Maryland Ave has been submitted for building permit by CIDA Architects:

New 3-story multifamily apartment building with 19 one-bedroom dwelling units.

A building permit was issued to Urban Development Group for a project at 1478 SE 49th Ave (previously 490-4917 SE Hawthorne Blvd):

Construct new 4 story mixed use building with (46) units and 2737 sf of retail, interior trash room

A building permit was issued for a project at 2615 SW Water Ave:

New construction of 100-unit 5 story apartment building, with site improvements, onsite parking and interior trash room
