The redevelopment of Dekum Court is being part funded by the 2018 regional housing bond. The new Dekum Court include 200 units of affordable housing, an increase of 160 units.

Early Assistance has been requested by Home Forward for the redevelopment of Dekum Court at 7003 NE 27th Ave:

The project is the phased redevelopment of the Dekum Court affordable housing development. Currently Dekum Court has 40 units of housing on 5.3 acres of land. Phase 1 of the project will be to demolish the existing Head Start building and construct a minimum of 40 new apartment homes. Phase 2 of the project will be to move current residents into the new units, demolish all remaining structures on site and construct up to 160 additional units for a total of 200 units of housing.

A project at NW 24th Pl and Vaughn has been submitted for a Pre-Permit Plan Check:

19 multi-family units. A lot confirmation was recently completed (see PR 20-119022 LC)

Alterations to the Galleria at 600 SW 10th Ave have been submitted for a Type 1x Historic Resource Review:

The existing Target retail store that is currently located on the second and third floors of the building will be relocated and consolidated on the first floor of the building with minimal exterior alterations. Those exterior alterations include repurposing of existing blade signage, the addition of new signage, attaching new canvas to existing awnings, and installation of a small LTE antenna (as further described below, the ¿Project¿). Beyond the signage and awnings, the alterations affect less than 500 square feet of exterior façade. Based on the proposed changes, the Bureau of Development Services has confirmed that these Historic Resource Reviews are to be processed with a Type Ix procedure under PCC 33.846.060, Table 846-1 and PCC 33.730.042 (Concurrent Reviews).

A building permit was issued to Studio 3 Architecture for The Bluffs at 5150 N Lombard St:

New 4 story, 36 unit apartment building with (2) tenant spaces on ground floor, includes associated sitework *** mechanical permit to be separate ***

A building permit was issued for a project at 5111 SE Woodstock Blvd:

New 3-story, 28-unit apartment building with interior trash enclosure, bike storage room and short-term bicycle parking.

Design Advice has been requested by Guerrilla Development for a project at 701 E Burnside St:

A project at 2923 and 2933 SE Division St has been submitted for Type II Design Review by William Kaven Architecture:

The proposed project is a new four story mixed-use building located at the intersection of SE Division and SE 30th. The project is comprised of three stories of residential apartments over ground floor retail, lobby and two residential units. There are 18 total apartments.

The renovation of and addition to the Galleria at 600 SW 10th Ave has been submitted for Type III Historic Resource Review by SERA Architects:

Renovation of the Galleria Building, which will include a new office penthouse and roof terraces.

A building permit issued to CLR Design for the Oregon Zoo Primate Forest:

Primate Holding Bldg – 1-story precast concrete structure w/ combination flat membrane and metal deck roofs. Primary function is to provide holding facilities for chimpanzees, including an on-exhibit day room, associated support functions and viewing area

A building permit issued to CLR Design for the Oregon Zoo Cafe:

Cafe – 1-story wood famed structure w/ a wood truss roof. Primary function to provide facilities for food storage, preparation, and sale, support spaces unclude commercial kitchen & walk in cooler

Hotel Chamberlain
The Hotel Chamberlain is a restoration of a building that was originally built as a hotel, and whose ground floor was occupied by Shleifer Furniture’s for 80 years. The new hotel will include 57 guest rooms at the upper floors, as well as a restaurant and cafe at the ground floor.

Proposal for 100 residential apartments on 7 floors. This building would be a sister to the existing project at 930 SW 15th. Ground floor to include the lobby, housing units, commercial spaces, a mechanical and trash area and parking for 30 cars. Total gross square footage is 74,780. Will connect to existing water and storm water pipes on SW Taylor St

Early Assistance has been requested by Scotia Western States Housing for a project at 1325 SW Gibbs St:

The proposed project is a 30-unit multifamily project across approximately 24,000 sf of living space and 4 stories of living space above one level of parking garage on the R-1 portion of the site. Amenity bonuses will be utilized to obtain the full allowable 30 units. The entire multifamily and parking development will be limited to the existing parking lot area on the R-1 zoned parcel.

A Pre-Application Conference has been scheduled by Emerick Architects to discuss a project at 2124 NW Flanders St:

Proposal is for four stories of market-rate apartments over a walk-out basement level with 19 residential units and typical utilities. Floors 1-4 are proposed to have outdoor balcony space. The roof is anticipated to incorporate a roof deck, partial green roof and solar panels. Site is non-contributing in Alphabet Historic District.
