Metro Reports: Portland Boathouse, Big Leaf Apartments, De La Salle North Catholic High School, and more

Every week, the Bureau of Development Services publishes lists of Early Assistance applications, Land Use Reviews and Building Permits processed in the previous week. We publish the highlights. This post covers February 25th to March 3rd, 2019. 

Early Assistance has been requested for a project at 8205 SW Barbur Blvd:

269 unit apartments & 10,000sf of retail. Will pay fee in lieu for IZ or comply with IZ req. Sanitary sewer and stormwater will be per BES/PBOT expecting more info from this EA.

Early Assistance has been requested by Fieldwork Design for a project at 1306 N Prescott St:

Six-unit addition to an existing tri-plex. The building will be organized with three studio apartments at the ground level and three two-story, two-bedroom apartments above. Primary entries to the new units will be along the east face of the building, connecting to the path serving the existing units. Outdoor areas will be provided at both the east and west facades.

Early Assistance has been requested to discuss locating the Portland Boathouse at 306 SE Ivon St:

Develop two separate sites (one interim – one permanent) to house the Portland Boathouse and their various river-dependent programs and activities.

A Pre-Application Conference has been scheduled to discuss relocating De La Salle North Catholic High School to 4317 NE Emerson St:

Relocate De La Salle North High School to the existing St. Charles Church facility and add an approximately 20,000 sf building onto the site.

A Pre-Application Conference has been scheduled to discuss a project at 1111 NW 23rd Ave:

New single story retail building; renovate two existing buildings for misc retail tenants: new enlarged storefront, unreinforced masonry mitigation, upgraded services and addition of sprinklers.

A building permit was issued to Brett Schulz Architect for The Big Leaf Apartments at 1415 N Dekum St (formerly 6805 N Maryland Ave):

Construct 3 story (18) unit apartment building with associated site work
