Kudos following the aesthetic trend of the offset fenestrationgrid that is ever so popular today.
I dunno, the brickwork is nice. I think overall it’s understated, but nice. Much better than something like the Aris Apartments down on Fremont.
I’m inclined to agree with Conor. I find the scale of the building in keeping with its neighbors and humane, the proportions pleasing, the detailing of the brick bringing interest to the facade, the durable materials respecting the public realm, and the structure presenting a clear bottom, middle and top. And I’m not bothered by offset windows. For centuries, grid fenestration that was not offset was the “aesthetic trend.” I”m interested in hearing an argument why changing that is a bad idea. To my eye, the building appears balanced, almost formal. I’m intrigued to see how the finished product compares with the rendering.
