More than likely – future code -with not a lot of impact to the site/project by the changes: New construction of 30 units of multi-dwelling housing development. It will be two (2) 3-story buildings to be constructed in two phases. All units will be sold as permanently affordable condo through the City of Portland preference policy. This project is to move through the GATR fast-track process with oversight from PHB.

The project proposes a new structure (identified as the “Intersection”) located between two existing buildings (Identified as Buildings B and C) on the Adidas campus. The proposal also includes a new pedestrian plaza along N Greeley Ave.

A building permit was issued to Soderstrom Architects for an addition to St John Fisher Parish at 4567 SW Nevada St:
Addition to existing building to add new parish hall; renovation of existing rectory (R3 occupancy); new site improvements include parking, landscape and storm water facility

I remember when that site where PSU Plus 4 or whatever it’s called had provisions for the streetcar to pass diagonally through it. I wish it still did. That would be awesome! It takes streetcars a while to get through that area with those turns and that brief single-track section. I wish they’d kept that design element. At least I know what happened now. I’ve been wondering for some time.
The City did reconstruct the rail in this area a few years ago and it is now double-tracked. The tracks still cross over one another mid-block, so some of the capacity issues here still remain. Yes, running diagonally through the block would have been a better solution in my opinion. This would have made it more difficult to develop the block while preserving the additional apartment building though.
My memory is that they planned to tear down the apartment building on the SW corner of the block as well. But then the owner of it did an extensive restoration of it, and the city (?) changed their mind about removing it. That left the triangular NE corner, and two small triangles. So apparently the opted for the triple turns option instead. I guess the diagonal rail alignment would have had the crossing issues as well.
