Pre-Application conference scheduled for Under Armour’s new Portland home

A Pre-Application Conference [PDF] has been scheduled to discuss the renovation of the former YMCA at 2815 SW Barbur Blvd. As first reported in April the building will the new home for Under Armour’s Portland operations. The designers of the project are Siteworks Design | Build, who are working with Seattle based Interurban Development. The project will include a new glass façade for the building, and “small changes to the entry”.

Design Advice offered for OHSU Center for Health & Healing South

Design Advice has been offered to ZGF Architects for the OHSU Center for Health & Healing South. The $200 million project will include two new buildings on adjacent blocks in South Waterfront. The proposed building on Block 29 will include four floors of “ambulatory hospital”, which OHSU defines as facilities for “highly complex outpatient surgeries & invasive procedures”. Above this is a cancer center, where clinical trials by the Knight Cancer Institute will be performed. Block 28 will include above grade parking, and subsidized guest housing for people receiving care in the adjacent facilities. The two buildings will be connected to each other and the existing OHSU Center for Health & Healing building via a set of sky bridges over SW Whitaker St and SW Bond St. Though still at an early stage in their design, current drawings show Block 29 at 196′-8″ tall and Block 28 at 162′-8″ tall.

ZGF Architects have scheduled a Pre-Application Conference [PDF] to discuss a new mixed-use building on the Zidell Yards in South Waterfront. The proposed 8 story building includes 7 floors of residential units above ground-level retail. The project will include 140 parking spaces, in two and a half levels of underground parking.

Under Construction in South Waterfront: Block 37 (images)

South Waterfront Block 37 is currently under construction. The 6-story building at 3700 SW River Parkway will include 270 apartments on the upper floors, walk-up units at the ground floor, and 8,359 sq ft of retail space. 225 vehicular parking spaces and 425 bicycle spaces will be provided. The building design is by GBD Architects for developer Mack Urban. Block 37 will be the first post-recession building in South Waterfront to face directly onto the Willamette.

Under Construction: Landing Drive Apartments (images)

The Landing Drive Apartments are under construction in John’s Landing, on the site of the former Willamette Athletic Club at 4949 SW Landing Drive. The project by GBD Architects for developer Guardian Real Estate will be 5-7 stories tall. It will have 166 apartments, broken down into a mix of 38% one bedroom, 32% one bedroom plus den, and 29% two bedroom. The primary exterior materials are brick and stucco.
