The proposal for developer NBP Capital involves the conversion of the courthouse into an office building, with an event space, a cafe, and a restaurant and bar at the ground floor.

News Roundup: PDX T-Core, Anna Mann House, Alberta Alley, and more

The main terminal at PDX will be expanded and rebuild by 2025. A new roof, which will be built over the existing roof prior to its demolition, will use 2.5 million board feet of timber.

1010 SE Ash Approved by Landmarks Commission (images)

The Historic Landmarks Commission has approved a new 6-story mixed use building at 1010 SE Ash St. The project design is by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture for developer Adventurous Journeys, both of whom are based in Chicago. The new development will include 132 apartment units and approximately 7,000 sq ft of retail space. Parking for 77 vehicles will be provided in two levels of underground parking, while bicycle rooms at the ground level and underground will provide 198 long term bicycle parking spaces.

The building will be subject to the city’s inclusionary housing rules, which require the provision of affordable housing or the payment of a fee-in-lieu.

The Welby is proposed on the south half of Lovejoy Square, where a previous proposal was approved two year ago. The 15-story, mass-timber building would include retail, office and residential space.

The new Meyer Memorial Trust Headquarters on N Vancouver is now complete, reports the Portland Business Journal.

The proposed development is for a 7-story building occupying a site at SE MLK Blvd. and Stark Street – the site is slightly smaller than a half-block, at 17,900 square-feet. The proposed building is planned as a “5-over-2” structure, with 5 levels of Type III wood construction, over 2 levels of Type I concrete construction. The building will remain within the code-allowed height limits of the most restrictive construction type (85 feet), with the highest occupiable floor at a height of less than 75 feet from the lowest point on site (not a high-rise).
